1:100 concept model for a house design in Australia. Modelled in Archicad, cleaned up with Netfabb and printed with a Replicator 2 this is the finished print after a few false starts.
Instructions
Printed with 10% infill, 0.22mm layer height and 3 shells. This combination seemed to give us the best results. Printed in 4 ground sections due to size of the build plate and the associated curling issues with bigger prints.
There should be no need for support as required support has already been modelled under the large openings (these are easy to either cut or snap out) compare the photos to the model if these are not obvious. Also the 'thermal corners' around the sections seemed to minimize the curling issues on our printer.
Curved roof sections were printed on their sides, (support columns down) to get the best surface finish.
Sections were printed with aligned holes and pieces of dowel were printed seperately to join the base sections together. The louvres were also printed seperately.
